Group (possibly family) photograph of a man, women, child and a dog, taken in a garden on a sunny day. (Possibly relatives of the O'Shaughnessy's, the girl appears in one of the photo albums). There is a handwritten note on the back that says [Arthur Laffan**]. Undated.

Two studio portrait photographs of [Francis] O'Shaughnessy, as a young boy, and as a young adult in military uniform. Head and shoulders.

Reprinted photograph of a group of men on site at Mill Valley, taken in March 1890. Three of the men are standing next to equipment on tripods, and a dog is sitting next to one of them. Names on the back of the photograph identify all but one of the men: Billy Moloy, Tom Fottrell, M M O'Shaughnessy, John Spottiswood Snr (Mary's father), Smith the Real Estate agent, and John Welsh.

Two full length individual portrait photographs of 2 of the O'Shaughnessy daughters (Elizabeth and Helen I think), taken outside. One is dated 1920.

Portrait photograph of a young girl sitting on a horse, in a rural landscape setting. The photographer is based in Limerick, so it is likely this is a niece of O'Shaughnessy's taken during his 1920 visit home. The girl is facing forwards, so the photograph shows her in profile, the horse's head is turned to the side to face the camera.

Two studio portrait photographs of two priests, taken in San Francisco. No date, unidentified.

The material is accessible to all bone fide researchers, and subject to the conditions of access governing the consultation of archival material at the James Hardiman Library.
