TitleSr. M Scolastaca, Clochar na Úrsalach, Sligeach, to An tAthair Mhic an Mheidh
DescriptionLetter from Sr. M Scolastaca, Clochar na Úrsalach, Sligeach, to An tAthair Mhic an Mheidh, Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, thanking him for his compliments. She suggests that her Irish would not be good enough for articles, but that she would get Sr. M Buchmans to translate her articles into Irish for her. She asks what his views are on taking jokes from American papers and putting Irish on them. She says that it might be better if it was an eight page paper as it would help in teaching the children "they're the most important people in Ireland today as regards the language". She suggests that a children's section should have a lot of pictures as well as articles on ancient crafts rather than just articles of Irish ledgends. She also suggests a book corner. "Tell us who are the good writers, make mince-meat of Joyce & Yeats & Sean Casey the dramatist". She also suggests puzzles and competitions.
